Joy Jacob

Editor of Best Fashion. Automation engineer and Product Owner at Oizom. I build data and documentation systems for a living, and I run Best Fashion to do for getting dressed what good documentation does for software — make a complicated thing legible.

Why I run this site

I'm an editor, not a fashion insider — and that's deliberately the point. Most style advice online is written for people who already dress well, or it's a trend-cycle sales pitch. I wanted the opposite: plain explanations of how clothes, fabrics, and fit actually work, so a normal person can shop and dress with a bit more confidence. Best Fashion is where I publish that, edited to the same standard I'd want before spending my own money on a coat.

Every article here is explanatory, honest about trade-offs, and clear about its limits. Taste is personal; we give you the reasoning, not rules to obey.

How I edit here

I run an AI-assisted publishing pipeline: I choose the topic and the angle, AI drafts from that brief, and then I edit — checking every factual claim (fibre properties, care symbols, fashion history) against a reputable source, cutting anything that reads like hype, and refusing invented statistics. AI assists; I'm accountable for what ships. The full process is on our editorial standards page.
